Norm’s Vision for

a Modern Day Sock Hop

Bringing Back the Magic of Music and Community

Back in the day, kids had a place to go—a place where music brought people together, where dancing was the only thing that mattered, and where a soda pop and a smile could turn strangers into friends. That’s what the sock hop was. And that’s what I want to bring back.

I believe we’ve lost something along the way—a sense of innocence, of community, of just having good, clean fun. Nowadays, kids don’t have a place like that, and I think that’s part of why the world feels different. It’s time to bring it back. It’s time for a Return to the Sock Hop.

This isn’t just about music; it’s about reviving the values that made those days special—respect, kindness, and joy. Imagine a place where families, young folks, and old-school rockers alike can gather, dance, and feel part of something bigger. That’s my dream. And with your help, we can make it happen.

Fun Fact: Did you know the term ‘sock hop’ comes from kids taking off their shoes to dance in their socks? That way, they wouldn’t scuff the gym floor!
